The Drumheller Area Health Foundation provides funds for programs relating to health care and the purchase of equipment in the Drumheller area.
Serving the Town of Drumheller and surrounding area including Kneeland County, Starland County, and Wheatland County. The Board of Directors reviews requests for funding the various medical units. Our areas of interest include 'Enhancing the Patient Experience', 'Learning Advantage', 'Leading Through Innovations' and 'Living Well Staying Well' programs.
The foundation is non-profit charitable organization since 1994 we've been able to facilitate improvements to the care of Albertans by raising funds and purchasing the following kinds of equipment;
- a computed tomography (CT) Scan
- ultrasound
- ambulances and associated
- cardiac monitoring
- specialized operating room
- emergency room
- palliative care
- equipment for the Continuing Care unit
- care enhancements and equipment for the Community Cancer Centre
- labratories
In addition we created garden green space for staff and patients.
