The PACE (Pediatric Acute Care Education) Program at KidSIM works to provide learners surrogate clinical experience with pediatric patients in as close to a ‘real-life’ situation as possible through the use of high-fidelity mannequins as well as teaching space that mimics the clinical setting as closely as possible.
PACE focuses on pediatric simulation education and faculty development. PACE incorporates simulation technology run by pediatric emergency medicine and critical care educators. Learning takes place at The Alberta Children’s Hospital KidSIM Centre. PACE uses hands-on teaching using the latest evidence-based medicine to help healthcare professionals maintain their Pediatric Acute Care Education.
