Offers narrative therapy programs for people who have used abuse in intimate relationships.
Service provides:
- intake, clinical assessment, therapeutic preparation sessions, a 16 week group therapy program, and individual support for people who have used abuse in intimate relationships
Includes:
- helping participants learn: ways to understand and manage anger, the impact of stress and distress and how to manage it, new strategies to resolve conflict, how to set healthy relationships boundaries, and ways to build healthy relationships
- a narrative approach that helps participant identify their values and how they can live in healthy relationships
- helping people take responsibility for their actions, change their abusive behaviour, and create the healthy relationships they seek
- exploring a theme in each session that is related to emotional safety or relationship skills
Groups include:
- Renaissance - for people who identify as men
- Nexus - for people who identify as women
People are invited to indicate which group is the best fit for them.
