This service provides care for pregnant women with medical problems. We provide preconception counselling, care during pregnancy and immediate postpartum care.
The Obstetric Medicine team helps pregnant patients with complex health issues. Independent doctors who need extra tests or treatments for their patients can ask us for help. We do not take the place of regular doctors. Patients can call the on-call obstetric medicine doctor at the Royal Alexandra Hospital switchboard if they have questions.
Patients must already have health issues that are needed to be managed before and during pregnancy.
