Offers programming for adults who want to improve their basic computer skills and learn to use technology in their everyday lives.
Service provides:
- assistance for learners to achieve the fluency in technology needed to feel more comfortable using computers, tablets, smartphones, and more; meetings occur a few hours each week at a time that works for the learner
Areas of focus include:
- developing familiarity with the hardware of a computer including monitor, mouse, keyboard, universal serial bus (USB) memory stick, and more
- building an understanding of how different types of software work including using Microsoft Windows or a Mac Operating System to navigate spreadsheets, word processors, PowerPoints, and more
- personal digital goals - programs learners may require or want to learn for work or school such as accessing e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, using search engines, joining social media platforms, and data management may also be covered
