Offers a court-supervised drug treatment program for adults who are committing crimes to support their drug use and who want to change.
Service provides:
- a drug treatment court designed to help break the cycle of crime and addiction by helping participants to get and stay drug-free and by providing the supports needed to live in recovery and re-engage with community
Includes:
- in-patient and out-patient addiction treatment programming
- weekly court appearances to speak with a justice
- ongoing random and regular drug testing
- weekly update reports and probation supervision of recognizance orders
- monitoring of participant engagement, in collaboration with service providers
- peer support, mentorship, and life skills coaching
- psychological and therapeutic counseling services
- assistance with housing, employment, mental health, and education supports
- a variety supports and services to support their change
Participants need to accept responsibility for and deal with their addictions.
