The Preschool Comprehensive Assessment & Treatment (PCAT) Program is one of the care streams within the Infant and Preschool Assessment Service (IPAS) at the Glenrose. It is a diagnostic service that assesses children with tertiary level developmental and social-emotional needs.
The Preschool Comprehensive Assessment & Treatment (PCAT) Program assesses children who require more intensive assessment than that provided through the Infant and Preschool Assessment Service (IPAS). These children have complex developmental and social-emotional needs. The type of assessment is specific to each child's and family's needs and may include home and school observations, standardized assessment tools, and / or inclusion in a preschool classroom group.
